Sara Mason Memorial Garden

Sara Mason was a fixture at Mountain Pathways School for many years and brought her big wide open heart to working with children. Sara worked with all ages at MPS and her down to earth nature, fun loving spirit, and love were felt by all. Sara's children Cecil and Silas were also students in the Children's House many years ago. Of all the roles she filled throughout her time at MPS, Sara loved most to be outside with the children and especially loved working in the garden. Our elementary students came up with the idea to plant a garden in honor of her memory, which we believe beautifully reflects her life and spirit. We will be designing and building a permanent pollinator and native herb garden in her honor this spring. Upon completion, we will hold a public dedication ceremony on campus to share this space with her friends and family.
