About Us

Our 25th Year!
Mountain Pathways School, a Montessori school, was founded in 1987 by a group of parents and educators who wanted for our region’s children an opportunity for interdisciplinary education that met the needs of the whole child. They sought to develop an educational atmosphere that would foster self-reliant, self-disciplined children who would grow to adulthood with a life-long love of learning, and the ability and desire to positively contribute to society. The school currently has seventy-seven students, and a highly skilled staff of thirteen. All lead teachers are Montessori-trained and certified.

Schedule Updates:

Field Day is May 10 at Valle Crucis Park, all classes meet at the park at 9 am.

Friday, May 17 is the Montessori Open Homecoming Golf Tournament, school will meet on a regular schedule that day. May 18 is Homecoming Open House, 2-5 at MPS. Homecoming Gala is that night from 6-9 at the Harvest House. Click on the link below for more information.

May 24 is the final day of school with Graduation at 10 and early dismissal at 11:30.

What our parents say ...
