Mountain Pathways Summer Sessions

INTRODUCING OUR FIRST SUMMER OF 9-12 FARM CAMP (SCROLL DOWN FOR YOUNGER PROGRAMS)

Mountain Pathways Montessori School is pleased to announce the expansion of our summer camp programming to include all interested 9-12 year olds. Our program is called Farm Camp and the mission is to provide an intensive, weeklong sustainable farming and gardening experience that focuses on basic gardening skills as well as harvesting, processing, and marketing farm products. Campers will learn creative problem solving skills, the fundamentals of a sustainable food system, and practical life applications of science, technology, engineering, and math through hands on experience. The goals of our program are simple: to establish a micro-farm on the Norwood House campus. It will serve children ages 9-12 years which fulfills a niche of much needed summer programming for this particular age group. Campers will serve community members by growing surplus food for the local shelter, The Hospitality House, and the Farm C.A.F.E.

$225/per camper (sibling discounts are available)

MONTESSORI SUMMER SESSIONS FOR TODDLER TO NINE YEAR OLDS

SEE BELOW FOR LINKS TO REGISTRATION!

Our Summer Sessions have been recently restructured to serve more children as demand has grown over the years. We now offer three groups, with care for Toddlers (2-3 & under), Threes and Fours, and Five and Ups.

Each day, Montessori-trained teachers will be presenting lessons to the two older groups to help the children engage in hands-on learning activities that expose them to science, practical life skills, and sensorial explorations. They also explore nature, and engage in a variety of art projects, games and special classes. Special guests present onsite lessons and entertainment for the children. And there’s plenty of FUN too, with playing in Howard’s Creek on the agenda every non-rainy day! Toddlers get to experience our rich, engaging (and slightly quieter) 2 and under program, and they have a play area of their own.
