Catch the Hatch
In 2009, in our 22nd year of existence, Mountain Pathways was finally able to secure our own transportation for students to ‘Go Out’ into the world, just as Dr. Montessori said they must.
‘The Hatch’ is named for late Mountain Pathways founder and ASU psychology professor Eric Hatch, and is able to transport 24 children and teachers to educational opportunities throughout the area. For all its benefits, the bus does require constant upkeep, insurance, fuel (which we are hoping will be Biodiesel within the coming year) and various other expenses that have never been a part of our budget before. If you can help with any small donation, it will help us all remember Eric, and it will help all the children of Mountain Pathways to ‘Catch the Hatch’ for years to come.
