We are currently looking for a Director of Development, starting as soon as possible.

As Mountain Pathways Montessori School heads into its 25th year in 2012, the organization is seeking a Director of Development. This person will coordinate the School’s overall Development efforts and collaborate with Administrative Team members and volunteers to implement programs.

Primary areas of responsibility:

    1. Reports to the Director and Board of Trustees monthly of current fund raising program progress
    2. Lead a systematic and strategic program in concert with strategic planning committee of fund raising, including implementing an ambitious annual fund, writing grants, and organizing special events.
    3. Reports to the Director of ongoing development and oversee a major gifts program, which involves identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding current and prospective corporate, foundation, and individual donors.
    4. Manage donor database, thank you notes, and recognition.
    5. Reports to the Director in development of two annual direct mail appeals, alumni,  press releases, social media outreach, and preparing written materials, as needed.
    6. Present public programs as requested.

      Operational tasks

      • Work closely with the Head of School on all Development efforts. The Development Director reports to the Head of School.
      • Serve on the following committees: the Administrative Team, the Annual Fund Committee, and the Capital Campaign Committee.
      • Implement and oversee the Development calendar
      • Assist with the development of promotional materials
